Join us Saturday, February 28th, for a women's focused prescribed fire workshop designed to build skills, knowledge, and confidence in the field. This training offers a supportive environment for women interested in prescribed fire as a land management tool for habitat, fuel reduction, or ecological restoration.
Training Highlights: Overview of prescribed fire use, how to conduct a pre-burn briefing, hands-on training and demonstrations with fire equipment, live prescribed burn with the Foothills Prescribed Burn Association.
Weather conditions must be favorable for the live fire to take place; all registered will be contacted the week of the event.
What to Bring/Wear: Long-sleeved cotton shirt and pants, leather gloves, closed-toed boots, eye protection, sack lunch (light snacks provided), lawn chair, and reusable water bottle. (Some gear will be available for use)
