Join us for an Upland Habitat Field Day at Di-Lane on Friday, September 26, to explore and discuss successional upland habitat management for deer, turkey, quail, and songbirds. This fall event offers an excellent opportunity to see native grasses and wildflowers at their peak while learning about habitat management practices aligned with our new Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP), a cost-share program focused in Burke and Emanuel counties. The event is open to all, but we especially welcome landowners and partners from the local area. Guided tours will highlight habitat features and management strategies across the property, with professional biologists and conservationists leading each stop.
8:30 – 9:00 AM – Registration & Welcome
9:00 – 12:00 PM – Field Tour & Presentations
We will do three stops in the field, one at old fields managed with fire and disking, one at mature pines managed with fire, and one at new longleaf planting. Each stop will be 35-40 minutes plus time for questions.
12:00 – 12:45 PM – Lunch & Networking sponsored by Birds Georgia
12:45 – 1:15 PM (Optional) – Q&A Wrap-Up Session
